||||||| ||||||| ||||||| \\\ /// Indroduction. This file is about something
||| ||| ||| ||| ||| \\|// called Social Engineering. It's a method many
||| |||\\ ||||||| \|/ hackers use to get more information about
||| |||\\\ ||| ||| /|\ computer systems, people, phone numbers or
||| ||| \\\ ||| ||| //|\\ any of a number of things. The numbers listed
||| ||| \\\||| ||| /// \\\ in this file aren't computer systems. Trax.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Social Engineering in simple terms is the method of getting information about
something you shouldn't know about. There are 3 different types of Social
Engineering. Phone Work, Direct Contact and Mail. Phone Work is by far the
easiest method to use as you can always hang up if you stuff things up.
The first thing you must remeber when Social Engineering is what your aim is
going to be. Always slowy build up your information. I know of a method of
Engineering in which you can get someones NUI ,mind you alot of background work
is required for this type of con and you can't guarantee results. Always have
escape routes for your plans. Its no use going for a NUI if you don't know how
to get one legit and whats involved in getting the real thing. You should
become familar with your target. Ring up, write to or go in person and ask them
for information about what they do.
I wanted to know how to use a PABX so i rang up a company and asked them for
background info on there PABX system they sent me a heap of leaflets explaining
how to use there system. Needless to say i removed the STD and ISD bars on my
works PABX system. All you really need is the Yellow Pages and look what you
want up. Here are some examples of Social Engineering below. Hopefully you will
get the concept and use it for your own gain.

Road Traffic Authority Phone 3456811 Customer Service Enquiries
----------------------
Now what type of info can you get out of the RTA with out hacking into there
computer system? Well you can find out who the person is via the number plate
of his or her car. If for some reason you want to know who someone is and you
have there number plate serial. Ring up Customer Service and say the following.
CS=Customer Service SE=Social Engineer
CS: "RTA Customer Service Enquiries."
SE: "Yes, hello i wonder if you can help me? I had a slight accident today and
i ran into a car in a shopping center. I didn't leave a note on the car i
hit and i'm feeling a bit guilty about it."
CS: "How can i help Sir?"
SE: "Well i wrote down the number plate of the car i hit and i was wondering if
you could give me the name of the person who's car i hit?"
CS: "What was the number plate Sir?"
SE: "ABC123"
It's that easy! She should tell you everything about the owner of the car. Just
think you had a famous person's number plate. They arrive at some publicity
thing in there car copy the plate down and find out there phone number, where
they live, there real name etc etc. It could be useful some day.

Finding out who own's that number?
You have somebodies number but don't know anything else about them, say for
example a computer user using an alias. Well do the following.
TO=Telecom Office SE=Social Engineer
SE: "Hello can you help me? My mother just got married and had the number put
under my step-fathers name, we just got the phone bill and it's still
has my mother's old name. Can you tell me under what name the computer has
this number listed as? The number is 1234567."
or
"I've had my name changed by depol."
or
"The business name was changed."
TO: "What's the name on the bill say Sir?" (Tricky Question!)
Make something up!
SE: "I am ringing up because the name on the bill is wrong!"
Finding out what numbers are called from that phone number?
Well once you have done the above and you know all about the person and you
have waited a few weeks. Ring up again and ask for a "Statement of Charges" for
both IDD calls and Local calls and have it sent to your P.O Box. Mind you this
is very illegal so don't get caught. This is a good tool for finding out what
systems the elite are hacking into or what numbers phreakers are using. This
method was done to me, (wasn't it Ionic!) and i've done it to a few people
myself (hahaha) there is a method of protecting yourself which i now have
placed on my phone number but i'm not giving that info out. There is also a
method of removing the above protection which is harder but i know of that as
well and only elite phreakers who know the Telecom system backward could get my
above protection off. They know who they are!
